Dominion Transmission Inc. (DTI)

Headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, Dominion Transmission Inc. (DTI) is the interstate gas transmission subsidiary of Dominion. The company is primarily a provider of gas transportation and storage services.

Dominion operates one of the largest underground natural gas storage systems in the United States with links to other major pipelines and to markets in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. We maintain 7,800 miles of pipeline in six states; and store and transport large quantities of natural gas for large customers, such as major utilities and power plants. DTI is also a producer and supplier of natural gas liquids at one of the largest extractions plants in the East, and operates one of the nation's largest liquefied natural gas import facilities in Maryland, Dominion Cove Point LNG.

Cove Point, also headquartered in Richmond, was acquired from Williams in September 2002 and began receiving ships in the summer of 2003. In 2009, Dominion finished an expansion project that increased Cove Point's storage and production capacity by nearly 80 percent.
